Mental Health

My Personal Story

Mental health has always been personal for me

My journey with anxiety taught me that struggling in silence is one of the loneliest feelings in the world — and that one honest conversation can change everything. That experience didn’t just shape who I am; it became the reason I do what I do. I became a mental health advocate not because it was assigned to me, but because I know what it feels like to need someone in your corner, and I never want anyone to feel alone in that way.

Today, I’m a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marquette University, Mental Health First Aid certified for both adults and youth, and deeply committed to making mental wellness something we talk about openly — in schools, in communities, and in everyday life.

What Drives Me

I believe mental health is not a weakness. It’s not something to hide or push through alone. My mission is simple: to make sure no one feels alone.

That means breaking the stigma that keeps so many people from asking for help. It means showing up in classrooms, at community events, and online to have real, honest conversations about how we’re actually doing. And it means giving people the tools and resources they need — before a hard moment becomes a crisis.

What You’ll Find Here

I’ve built this space around three areas that I’m most passionate about:

  • 🗓 Mental Health Mondays
Every Monday, I share a short reflection on mental wellness — covering everything from managing anxiety to the importance of rest. These posts are meant to meet you where you are, whatever kind of week you’re having.
  • 🌿 Minds Matter: C.A.L.M.
C.A.L.M. — Challenge, Accept, Listen, Manage — is the community initiative I created to bring mental health education into schools and neighborhoods. It’s built around practical coping skills and the belief that open conversations can truly save lives.
  • 🆘 Crisis Support
If you or someone you love is struggling right now, please don’t wait. I’ve gathered crisis resources and helplines here because getting support should never be hard to find.

Would You Like To Connect?

I became an advocate because I needed one. Now, whether I’m reading Worry Monster with elementary students or speaking on stage about breaking the stigma, every single thing I do comes back to that same truth: a small conversation can truly make a big impact.

If you’d like me to speak at your school, organization, or event, I’d love to connect.
